Yoga Poses for the New Moon
The New Moon is the part of the cycle when we begin to create the magic, to look to our dreams and see the potential in front of us. We can connect to our inner world and ask for the things that we really want from our lives. It's a time to look forward and plan the future, remembering that anything is possible for us.
Here are my favourite yoga poses for the New Moon.
Moon Saluation - Chandra Namaskar
Similar to the more common Sun Salutation, the Moon Salutation is a series of yoga poses designed to honor and connect with the energy of the moon. It involves a sequence of flowing movements that can be done slowly and mindfully.
Child's Pose - Balasana
Child's Pose is a restful and introspective posture. It encourages surrender and letting go of tension, making it a great choice for the New Moon
Goddess Pose - Utkata Konasona
The Goddess Pose is a powerful and grounding posture that can help you tap into your inner strength and intentions.
Seated Forward Bend - Paschimottanasana
This seated forward bend encourages introspection and can be a great opportunity to reflect on your goals and intentions for the lunar cycle.
Supported Shoulderstand - Salamba Sarvangasana
This inversion pose can be a calming and introspective posture. It can help you see things from a new perspective and encourage clarity of thought.
