Yoga Pose Focus for this New Moon

Capricorn rules the skeletal system and joints, especially the knees so we want our physical practice to connect with our bones and our joints.

One of my favourite poses for Capricorn Season is Mountain Pose. Capricorn is associated with structure, career and long term goals. In Mountain Pose we create that energy of rooting ourselves into where we are and feeling stable enough to gaze into the future and see our potential.

Rituals for the New Moon

For each New Moon I build an altar to honour the new beginning, a space where I can sit and be with my goals and dreams for the month ahead and get clarity on my intentions moving forward.

I also really love to use scent in all my rituals and this month I'll be using the deep and alluring New Moon Wax Melts on my altar as I relax into my space.

Capricorn is all about creating solid routines and rituals so you may like to add something to your altar that represents what that looks like for you.

Lastly, Capricorn is an Earth sign and Earth needs to move a little slower, this might be a month where you take some time to really get clear on exactly what it is you want to bring in this year.

I've chosen Garnet for this New Moon for meditation and connecting with higher states of consciousness, making it a supportive crystal for those on a spiritual journey.

Garnet is a stone of strength and commitment, making it particularly resonant with Capricorn's disciplined and ambitious nature. It is believed to boost self-confidence and enhance motivation.
